Service and fees
Ekker Advocatuur applies a standard hourly rate. However, in specific circumstances, alternative fee structures can be applied, such as a fixed fee. Also, a reduced hourly rate can be applied for individuals, non-profit organisations and in matters with a public interest.
‘No cure no pay’– agreements are not allowed in the Netherlands. However, Ekker Advocatuur can work at a greatly reduced hourly rate in exchange for a proportional bonus when achieving a positive result to be determined in advance (success fee).
Ekker Advocatuur does not charge office costs.
Before rendering services, an engagement letter is signed that specifical information about the specific services, fees and applicable terms and conditions.
General conditions
General terms and conditions apply to the services of Ekker Advocatuur. The general terms and conditions limit the professional liability of Ekker Advocatuur to the amount that is covered by the professional liability insurance of Ekker Advocatuur, namely € 500,000 per incident. The conditions stipulate, among other things, that Dutch law applies and that any disputes relating to the provision of services are settled by the court in Amsterdam if no solution is reached via the Office Complaints Regulation.

Ekker Advocatuur does not have a bank account for third-party funds (‘Stichting Derdengelden’) and can therefore not receive third-party funds.
